Welcome! I’m so happy you are here.
My name is Kristy Thibodeau, LMT, CSCS, DPT. I have a lot of letters after my name. Professionally, they are nice to have as my parents and I have paid a pretty penny for my thorough and extensive education. However, these medical acronyms hardly define me, as I like to consider myself a wanderluster, traveler, athlete, and fitness coach, but allow me to enlighten you on what they mean.
LMT: Licensed Massage Therapist
I have been doing massage for 15 years. Currently, I am practicing in Kirchberg, Luxembourg out of LuxChiro. I emphasize my practice around deep tissue and sports massage along with myofascial approach and using the Graston Technique.
CSCS: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association
I am certified to train athletes of all levels to work with on and off-season strength and conditioning along with my knowledge in rehabilitation.
DPT: Doctorate of Physical Therapy
I received my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and my transitional Doctorate from Sage College.
I am an orthopedic based physical therapist and until December 2015 was a supervisor to 15 staff members at an urban outpatient clinic in Boston, MA, USA. My focus is manual therapy along with functional movement while thinking outside the box on ways to rehabilitate including using Pilates or suspension training. I like to motivate and educate individuals to ultimately achieve pain-free goals.
I have created this blog to share my experiences with health, wellness, and exercise in all forms along with my experiences in traveling that are near and dear to my heart. I can only hope that some of this information can help inspire, motivate, educate or at least entertain you.
