Hi there. Sorry, I’ve been a bad friend and have left you hanging the past couple of weeks. (BTW I do this in real life too, not one of my finest qualities). However, I have so much to tell you!
First:
I finished my peak week for the Rome Marathon with my longest run of 21 miles a week and a half ago. I went into the run with the right fueling, mindset, and had great weather for a good combination. I felt great! If I keep the pace, I can finish in 4 hours and 30 minutes, which I will be happy about. The Boston Marathon had seen my photo of that run on my Instagram page @thefitwanderluster. I was asked to submit a short video clip, from this run to the Boston Marathon to be quickly featured in a promo video about marathon training. Here’s a link to the video: Boston Marathon promo video.

Second:
I just came back from one of my favorite happy places. I spent the last week at Laax, Switzerland in a ski-in/ski-out chalet with perfect spring weather conditions. We had 6 days of good food with family and friends, 3 days of quality boarding and 3 training runs with plenty of hills, and 1 day of my first time paragliding. If you have the opportunity to try it, do it!

Third:
I’ve become a brand ambassador for not one, but two great companies.
Momentum Jewelry makes inspiring, comfortable pieces that can be worn during a run or workout to keep you motivated, with plenty of phrases available. You can even have the opportunity to create a custom message. #sharethespark

Additionally, I am now a Zella Pro for Nordstrom’s athletic line, Zella. Stylish, affordable, and long-lasting pieces that will definitely up your fashion game during the game 😜. #zellapro

And lastly:
Less than two weeks until I embark on my 9th full marathon on April 2 in Rome, Italy. Another 26.2 miles/42.195 km. I’ve put in the training and monitored my nutrition more so than I have with any previous race. I was originally hoping for a PR but after 4 months of missing my MRP (under 9 min miles) for most planned runs and learning more about the hills on the course and warmer temps come race day, I’m not expecting it. I’ve now modified this to be a fun run, taking in the sites, meeting some of the Instagram running community, and spending the weekend with my dad who’s flying in from the states! I’ll set my faster objective for the flatter course of Berlin, but I’ll be looking for coaches. Send me your suggestions!
